Product overview

JioTag is Jio's item-finder tag, similar in concept to an AirTag or Galaxy SmartTag, but cross-platform. You attach it to keys, wallets, luggage or gadgets and locate them through either Google's Find Hub network on Android or Apple's Find My network on iPhone. Within Bluetooth range you can ring the loud built-in speaker; beyond range, the tag leverages the crowd of Android or iOS devices on whichever network it's paired to.

One caveat from the product description: switching between Android and iOS requires removing the tag from the current app, resetting it, and re-pairing — it can't sit on both networks simultaneously.

Reasons to consider

• Cross-network support is rare at this price — most finders lock you into one ecosystem.
• The advertised ₹1,099 price is among the cheapest ways to get Find My-compatible tracking in India.
• No SIM or subscription needed; it piggybacks on existing Find Hub / Find My networks.
• IP64 rating offers basic protection against dust and splashes.
• Ships from Amazon with the listed seller, so delivery and returns follow standard Amazon terms.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹1,099 selling price on Amazon.in, in stock
• Works with both major phone-finding networks
• Loud 120dB speaker for nearby locating
• Long advertised battery life (1+1 year)

Cons

• Only one network at a time — switching platforms needs a reset and re-pair
• The 63% discount is against an advertised MRP of ₹2,999; we could not independently confirm the MRP on the product page
• Crowd-locate range depends on nearby Android/iOS devices, which varies by area
• Price history shows it was briefly cheaper (₹1,049) earlier this year

Buyer fit

Good fit if you lose keys or bags regularly and want a cheap tracker that works whether your household uses Android or iPhone. Mixed-device families benefit most, since a single tag can move between ecosystems (with a reset). Skip it if you need simultaneous tracking on both platforms, precision finding, or a waterproof (rather than splash-resistant) tag.

Final verdict

At ₹1,099, the JioTag 2nd Gen is one of the most affordable cross-platform item finders available in India, and the price is verified live on Amazon. The claimed 63% discount rests on an advertised MRP we couldn't confirm on the listing, but even without the MRP framing this is a reasonable price for the feature set. Worth buying if you need an item tracker — just remember it pairs to one network at a time.
