Product overview

The Airika is Polycab's BLDC (brushless DC motor) ceiling fan in the standard 1200 mm sweep that suits most medium-sized Indian rooms. BLDC fans are marketed primarily on lower electricity consumption — typically a meaningful reduction versus conventional induction-motor fans — along with remote control convenience and stable speed on inverter power. This variant carries a 5-star energy-efficiency rating and ships with a 2-year warranty. Polycab is a large, established Indian electricals brand, so service coverage is generally better than white-label BLDC imports at this price.

Reasons to consider

• Verified low price for a branded BLDC fan. ₹1,999 for a 5-star BLDC fan with remote from a major brand is at the budget end of the category.
• Running-cost savings. BLDC motors commonly consume roughly half to two-thirds the power of conventional fans; over years of daily use that usually outweighs a small price premium.
• Remote included. Speed control and timer functions without reaching for a regulator.
• 2-year warranty plus optional extended cover. The page offers an Onsitego 2-year extended warranty add-on for ₹170, purchasable within 30 days of buying the fan.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Branded BLDC fan at a sub-₹2,000 price
• 5-star energy rating and remote control
• Amazon fulfilled, in stock
• 2-year manufacturer warranty

Cons

• Advertised ₹1,949 / 59% off could not be confirmed; actual price seen was ₹1,999
• Seller is a third party (RetailEZ Pvt Ltd), though Amazon fulfilled
• No coupon code was observed, so the price shown is what you get
• BLDC fans can be incompatible with old wall regulators — use the remote or a compatible regulator

Buyer fit

Good fit for households replacing older induction-motor fans and wanting lower power bills, especially where fans run many hours a day. Also suits bedrooms where remote control is genuinely useful. If you already run a modern BLDC fan, the saving here is modest and there's little reason to switch.

Final verdict

Worth buying if you need a ceiling fan: ₹1,999 is a fair, verified price for a branded 5-star BLDC fan with remote and 2-year warranty. Don't bank on the advertised 59% discount — the live price is slightly above the advertised ₹1,949, so buy it on the product's merits rather than the claimed markdown.
