Product overview

The Polycab Airika is a 1200mm ceiling fan built around a BLDC motor, a design that typically consumes noticeably less electricity than a conventional induction-motor fan. The listing highlights a 5-star energy rating, remote control operation and a high-speed mode, finished in brown. BLDC fans in this category usually also allow speed control and timer functions via the remote, though the specific feature set should be checked on the product page before ordering.

Reasons to consider

• BLDC motor fans generally cut fan electricity use substantially versus standard fans, which matters for rooms that run fans all day.
• ₹1,999 is a competitive price point for a branded BLDC ceiling fan with remote; BLDC models typically carry a premium over induction-motor fans.
• Polycab is an established Indian electricals brand with wide service reach, and the listing states a 2-year warranty.
• Remote control removes the need for a regulator, useful for bedrooms and high ceilings.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Confirmed ₹1,999 price and in-stock status on the merchant page
• Energy-efficient BLDC motor with claimed 5-star rating
• Remote control included
• 2-year warranty per the listing

Cons

• The advertised 58% off could not be verified; no MRP was displayed on the page we read
• Seller is a third party (RetailEZ Pvt Ltd), so check seller ratings and return terms
• BLDC fans can be sensitive to voltage spikes; a stabiliser may be worth considering in some areas

Buyer fit

This suits buyers replacing an older induction fan, outfitting a bedroom or study where remote control and low running cost matter, and anyone shopping BLDC fans on a tight budget. It is less compelling if you specifically need a designer finish, an underlight, or a larger sweep than 1200mm.

Final verdict

At a verified ₹1,999 with the product in stock, this is a solid price for a branded BLDC ceiling fan with remote and is worth buying if you need one. The only soft spot is the advertised 58% discount, which rests on an MRP the page did not show — judge the deal on the ₹1,999 price itself rather than the headline percentage.
