Product overview

The refrigerator offers 655 litres of storage, with the advertised specifications describing 239 litres for the freezer and 416 litres for fresh food. The listed interior includes tempered-glass shelves, four refrigerator shelves, three refrigerator door baskets, four freezer shelves, four freezer door baskets and one freezer drawer. LG’s inverter compressor is presented as a way to reduce energy wastage and limit temperature fluctuations.

Feature highlights include Multi Air Flow, Multi Digital Sensors, Express Freeze, Smart Diagnosis, an internal LED display and a door alarm. The listed finish is Dazzle Steel, with a pocket-style handle and manual ice maker. These are useful convenience features, but they do not by themselves establish actual cooling performance or electricity costs in a particular home.

Reasons to consider

The large capacity is a natural fit for households with five or more members or buyers who regularly store bulky groceries. Frost-free operation avoids routine manual defrosting, while the side-by-side layout can make freezer access easier than a traditional top-freezer design. Express Freeze, door alerts and Smart Diagnosis add practical convenience. The stated compressor warranty may also provide useful long-term coverage, subject to LG’s terms and service conditions.

The main attraction is the advertised price, which would represent a substantial reduction if it is still available for the matching variant and eligible payment method. However, the product page verification returned no current selling price, MRP or coupon confirmation.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Spacious 655-litre capacity for large families
• Frost-free operation and inverter compressor
• Express Freeze, Multi Air Flow and Smart Diagnosis features
• Advertised 1-year product and 10-year compressor warranty
• Product page showed the item as in stock during verification

Cons

• The ₹58,240 selling price was not confirmed on Amazon
• The advertised deal references an ICICI credit-card EMI and coupon condition
• Large side-by-side refrigerators need substantial kitchen and door clearance
• Actual delivery availability, installation and final checkout price may vary by location

Buyer fit

This is worth investigating if you need a high-capacity refrigerator, have sufficient kitchen space and can confirm the LG GL-B257HDSY variant at checkout. It is less suitable for small kitchens, smaller households or buyers who want a compact, low-cost appliance. Before paying, confirm the final price, seller, delivery and installation terms, the applicable ICICI EMI condition and whether the coupon is available to your account. Do not assume the advertised saving applies universally.

Final verdict

The LG GL-B257HDSY has a strong large-family feature set and a potentially attractive advertised price, but the live Amazon page did not verify the ₹58,240 selling price. Consider it a promising lead rather than a confirmed bargain: buy only if the matching product, seller, payment eligibility and final checkout total still meet your expectations.
