Product overview

This 3-in-1 multiport adapter by j5create connects via a standard USB Type-C plug to deliver three essential functions in a single dongle:

1. 4K HDMI Video Output: Supports resolutions up to 4K at 30Hz for connecting external monitors, TVs, or projectors.
2. Gigabit Ethernet: RJ45 port provides fast, stable wired internet speeds up to 1000 Mbps, ideal when Wi-Fi is unreliable.
3. 100W Power Delivery: Allows pass-through charging to power your host laptop while using the external display and network.

Why consider it

• All-in-One Utility: Combines video output, wired networking, and laptop charging into one compact accessory.
• Gigabit Speeds: Reliable RJ45 LAN connector ensures low latency and steady throughput for video calls or gaming.
• 100W Pass-Through Charging: Eliminates port exhaustion on ultra-thin laptops with limited Type-C ports.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• Compact and lightweight dongle design, easy for travel.
• Supports 100W PD pass-through charging.
• Reliable Gigabit LAN connection for stable networking.

Cons:

• HDMI output is capped at 4K @ 30Hz (may feel less smooth for fast motion compared to 60Hz).
• Lacks additional standard USB-A ports for peripherals.

Who should buy it

This adapter is best suited for users of slim laptops (such as MacBook Air, Pro, or ultrabooks) who need a stable wired Ethernet connection for home or office setups along with external monitor support, while maintaining charging capability. Shoppers needing high-refresh video (4K @ 60Hz) or legacy USB-A ports may need a larger multiport hub instead.

Final verdict

At ₹861, the j5create 3-in-1 USB-C adapter provides solid value for laptop users seeking reliable wired LAN and HDMI connectivity without sacrificing a charging port. Verify that 4K at 30Hz meets your display needs before purchasing.
