Product overview

The Lunar Discovery Neo is boAt's budget round-dial smartwatch. The headline hardware is a 1.39-inch HD display with 240x240 resolution and a claimed 500 nits of brightness, wrapped in a metallic-finish case with a functional rotating crown for navigation. It supports Bluetooth calling, so you can take calls from the wrist when paired with a phone.

On the health side it tracks heart rate, SpO2, sleep and stress, includes guided breathing exercises, and covers 100+ sports modes. Auto activity detection recognises walking and running without a manual start, and multiple menu styles plus animated watchfaces handle the customisation side.

Reasons to consider

• ₹1,399 is a genuinely low entry price for a branded Bluetooth-calling smartwatch; the advertised ₹5,600 saving off MRP is large even if street pricing typically sits well below MRP.
• Bluetooth calling at this price is not a given — many sub-₹1,500 watches skip it.
• Health sensors (heart rate, SpO2, sleep, stress) plus auto walk/run detection cover the basics most casual buyers actually use.
• Confirmed in stock at the stated price on the merchant's own product page, so this is not just an advertised figure.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Live verified price of ₹1,399 on Amazon India
• Bluetooth calling included
• Large, bright round HD display with functional crown
• 100+ sports modes and automatic walk/run detection
• Full basic health suite: heart rate, SpO2, sleep, stress

Cons

• The ₹6,999 MRP is likely a nominal figure; the effective discount versus typical street price will be smaller than 80%.
• Budget smartwatches in this class generally lack built-in GPS and premium app ecosystems; the listing does not claim them either.
• Sensor accuracy on value-tier wearables is indicative, not medical-grade.

Buyer fit

This suits a buyer who wants a first smartwatch or a cheap upgrade with calling support, step and workout tracking, and notification mirroring — without spending on an Amazfit, Noise premium tier or Apple/Samsung watch. It is less suited to runners who need built-in GPS or buyers who want deep third-party app support.

Final verdict

At ₹1,399 with the price verified on Amazon's live listing, the Lunar Discovery Neo is a solid-value budget smartwatch if you want Bluetooth calling and basic health tracking on a round dial. Treat the 80%-off-MRP framing as marketing rather than a real-world saving, but the confirmed in-stock price still makes it an easy recommendation at this level for casual users.
