The merchant page confirms the ₹249 selling price, fulfilled by Amazon and sold by Cocoblu Retail, with free delivery. This is a verified price on a budget doodle/notes pad aimed mainly at kids.

Quick facts

Product overview

The Ruffpad One is a reusable LCD e-writing tablet with an 8.5-inch writing area. The "transparent multicolour" panel shows strokes in rainbow-style colours, and a stylus is used for writing or drawing; a button press clears the screen. Portronics pitches a companion Ruffpad app that lets you scan, save and share a child's drawings to a smartphone — unusual at this price. These pads are typically used for kids' doodling, handwriting practice, rough notes and to-do lists, replacing piles of scrap paper.

Reasons to consider

• ₹249 is very cheap for a branded LCD writing tablet; similar generic pads often cost the same or more.
• The app-based save-and-share feature addresses the biggest weakness of LCD pads — drawings are otherwise lost when erased.
• Amazon-fulfilled with free delivery and a large, established seller, so returns and delivery are straightforward.
• Useful gift/stocking-filler territory for children at festive-sale pricing.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹249 price, 75% below the ₹999 MRP
• Multicolour transparent screen is more engaging for kids than monochrome pads
• App export of artwork
• Fulfilled by Amazon

Cons

• 3.7/5 average rating is middling; durability and erase-function complaints are common in this category
• LCD pads have no real storage — the app scan is a workaround, not onboard memory
• Single-button erase clears everything; no partial erase
• Price is a limited-period festive offer and can change

Buyer fit

Good impulse buy for parents of young children, for handwriting or drawing practice, or as a desk scribble pad. Skip it if you need pressure-sensitive drawing, partial erase, or genuine onboard storage — look at higher-end e-writers or budget tablets instead.

Final verdict

At a verified ₹249 on Amazon, the Portronics Ruffpad One is a solid low-risk buy if you want a cheap reusable writing/doodling pad for a child. The 3.7-star rating suggests managing expectations on build quality, but at this price — and with easy Amazon returns — it's worth it for the intended use.
