Product overview

Cello's Novelty Big Bookshelf is a freestanding plastic storage unit positioned as a multipurpose book organiser for homes, offices and libraries. The Sandalwood Brown finish gives it a furniture-like look, while the two dustproof doors keep contents shielded from dust — a common complaint with open-shelf racks. Because it is plastic rather than engineered wood, it is light enough to move, resistant to moisture and termites, and typically assembles without tools or carpentry.

The Amazon listing describes it as a space-saving cupboard, so it is aimed at buyers who want closed, tidy storage in a compact footprint rather than a decorative open display shelf.

Reasons to consider

• The ₹3,933.50 price is confirmed directly on the Amazon product page, not just advertised elsewhere.
• Enclosed dustproof doors suit Indian homes where open shelves gather dust quickly.
• Plastic construction is rust-proof, termite-proof and easy to wipe clean — practical for humid climates or rental homes.
• It ships from Amazon with free delivery, which keeps logistics simple for a bulky item.
• The same product was previously seen priced around ₹5,742, so the current listing is meaningfully lower than its earlier observed level.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified current price of ₹3,933.50 on the merchant page
• Closed-door, dustproof storage
• Lightweight, moisture-resistant plastic build
• Amazon-fulfilled, in stock

Cons

• Plastic construction won't match the load capacity or finish of wooden furniture
• No MRP or percentage-off figure is shown on the page, so the size of the discount versus list price cannot be confirmed
• The listed seller is a third party (RetailEZ Pvt Ltd), though fulfilment is by Amazon

Buyer fit

This suits buyers who want affordable, enclosed book or utility storage — students, renters, home offices, or anyone organising a library corner — and who value easy maintenance over premium materials. Buyers expecting solid-wood aesthetics or heavy-duty load bearing should look at metal or engineered-wood alternatives instead.

Final verdict

At ₹3,933.50 with the price verified on Amazon's own product page and stock available, this is a reasonable buy if you were already considering a covered plastic bookshelf — it is notably cheaper than the roughly ₹5,742 level this same item was listed at previously. Since no MRP is displayed, treat it as a good current price rather than a headline percentage discount, and confirm the seller and delivery date at checkout.
