Quick facts

Product overview

The boAt Aavante Bar Prime B160 is a budget home-audio package: a main soundbar unit, a dedicated subwoofer and two rear satellite speakers, together rated at 160W RMS output in a 5.1-channel layout. It runs Bluetooth v5.3 for wireless streaming alongside wired multi-connectivity inputs, and ships with EQ modes and a master remote. The Cosmic Black finish is the variant on this listing.

On paper this is a genuine surround-sound arrangement rather than a simple stereo bar — the rear satellites are what separate it from the many 2.1 soundbars in this price band.

Reasons to consider

• Verified price drop. The ₹4,999 price is confirmed directly on the Amazon product page. When we last tracked this model it was listed at ₹6,999, so this is a clear reduction on its recent selling price.
• True 5.1 hardware at a budget price. A subwoofer plus two rear satellites under ₹5,000 is uncommon; most rivals at this price are 2.1 bars.
• In stock and Amazon-fulfilled. The listing shows the item in stock with scheduled delivery, sold by Clicktech Retail and fulfilled by Amazon, which simplifies returns if something is wrong.

Pros and cons

Pros

• 160W RMS with a dedicated subwoofer and rear satellites
• Bluetooth v5.3 plus multiple wired input options
• EQ modes and a master remote included
• Price confirmed at ₹4,999, down from a recent ₹6,999

Cons

• The advertised 79% discount cannot be verified — the page shows no MRP, so treat that figure as a marketing claim
• The listing appears under Amazon's Toys & Games category, an odd categorisation that occasionally accompanies marketplace listing quirks
• boAt's budget audio range is aimed at value rather than audiophile-grade sound; expectations should match the price

Buyer fit

This suits buyers who want a full 5.1 setup — real rear speakers, not virtual surround — on a tight budget, for a TV room or bedroom setup. If you mainly want a compact bar for dialogue clarity, a simpler 2.1 model may be a neater fit. If you were considering this soundbar at its earlier ₹6,999 price, the current ₹4,999 is a clearly better entry point.

Final verdict

A verified ₹4,999 for a 160W 5.1-channel soundbar package with a subwoofer and rear satellites is strong value, and it is meaningfully cheaper than this model's recent ₹6,999 listing. The 79%-off framing is unconfirmed, so judge the deal on the ₹4,999 price itself — which stands on its own. Worth buying if a budget surround setup is what you need.
