Amazon Basics Wired USB Mouse (3-Button, 1000 DPI) at ₹103 on Amazon — Advertised 89% Off MRP

At a glance

The Amazon Basics Wired USB Mouse is currently listed on Amazon.in at ₹103, confirmed by the merchant's own product page, which also shows the item in stock. The listing advertises an MRP of ₹919, which works out to an 89% discount — though we could verify the ₹103 selling price but not the MRP figure on the merchant page itself, so treat the discount percentage as advertised rather than confirmed.

Quick facts

Product overview

This is Amazon's own-basics take on the no-frills wired mouse: a USB plug-and-play unit with three buttons (left click, right click, and a clickable scroll wheel) and a 1000 DPI optical sensor. It works on both Windows and macOS without drivers, and is described as having an ergonomic shape for a better grip. There is no wireless connectivity, no extra programmable buttons, and no DPI switching — it is a straightforward desk mouse.

Reasons to consider

• ₹103 is extremely cheap for a functioning, branded wired mouse — useful as a spare, for a backup PC, or for bulk office buys.
• In stock on Amazon.in with delivery options shown on the listing.
• Plug and play on both Windows and Mac — no software needed.
• Amazon Basics products carry Amazon's standard returns and customer support.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹103 selling price on the merchant page
• Simple, reliable wired connection with no batteries or pairing
• 1000 DPI is adequate for everyday browsing and office work
• Works across Windows and Mac

Cons

• Basic 1000 DPI sensor is not suited to gaming or precision design work
• Wired only — no Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz wireless option
• The advertised ₹919 MRP (and therefore the 89% discount) could not be verified on the merchant page; the real saving may be smaller
• Build quality at this price is functional rather than premium

Buyer fit

Buy this if you need a dirt-cheap spare mouse, a basic pointer for a home office or school PC, or expendable units for a workspace. Skip it if you want wireless freedom, high-DPI gaming performance, or ergonomic features beyond a basic contoured shape.

Final verdict

At a verified ₹103, this is an easy recommendation if you need a basic wired mouse — the price is close to disposable territory for a branded product with Amazon's returns behind it. Treat the headline "89% off" as an advertised figure since the ₹919 MRP wasn't confirmed on Amazon's page; the deal stands on the ₹103 price alone.
