Product overview

This is an Amazon Basics-branded compatible refill ink bottle for Canon's PIXMA G-series ink tank printers. GI 790 is the ink family Canon uses across most of its G-series lineup, so a single bottle covers a long list of models. The listing is for the Magenta colour in a 70ml bottle, described as a dual pack refill, and carries a 6-month warranty with a 10-day replacement window on Amazon.

Reasons to consider

• At ₹27, the price is a small fraction of even typical compatible-ink pricing, so the downside is minimal if it works for your printer.
• Fulfilled by Amazon with pay-on-delivery and free delivery shown for eligible locations.
• Covers a very broad set of Canon PIXMA G-series models, useful if you run more than one printer.
• 6-month warranty and a 10-day replacement policy provide a basic safety net.

Pros and cons

Pros: Extremely low price versus the ₹629 MRP; Amazon fulfilment; wide PIXMA G-series compatibility; warranty and replacement cover.

Cons: Only 6 ratings at a middling 3.3/5, so real-world print quality and reliability are thin on evidence; it is compatible third-party-style ink rather than genuine Canon GI 790, which matters if you are picky about colour accuracy or concerned about printhead longevity; only Magenta is listed at this price.

Buyer fit

Best for Canon PIXMA G-series owners who need a Magenta top-up and are comfortable using compatible ink rather than OEM Canon bottles. If you print photos or colour-critical documents, the sparse 3.3-star rating is worth weighing before relying on it. Check that your exact PIXMA model appears in the compatibility list before ordering.

Final verdict

The ₹27 price is confirmed on the Amazon product page with the item in stock, so this is a genuine, verified markdown — effectively near-free refill ink. Given the limited review base, treat it as a low-risk trial purchase rather than a guaranteed-quality buy: worth grabbing if you own a compatible PIXMA and need Magenta ink, but manage expectations on print fidelity.
