Product overview

This is a large, reversible baby play mat with printed patterns on both sides. The listed design folds into five sections for storage, while the waterproof surface is intended to make wiping up spills and everyday messes easier. At 0.6 cm thick, it provides a softer surface than a bare floor, though buyers should not interpret the mat as a substitute for active supervision or a certified impact-protection product.

Reasons to consider

The 200 x 150 cm footprint gives a crawling baby or toddler more room than a small activity mat. Its foldable construction may suit homes where the play area needs to be cleared regularly, and the reversible design offers two surfaces to use. The verified ₹880 selling price is reasonable for a large single-piece mat if the dimensions, pattern and seller meet your needs.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Large 6.5 x 5 ft footprint
• Reversible and foldable for storage
• Waterproof surface should be straightforward to wipe clean
• Product page showed ₹880 and in-stock availability

Cons

• The 0.6 cm thickness is relatively slim for a floor mat
• Amazon's page did not independently confirm the advertised ₹2,999 MRP or 71% saving
• Price and availability may change by location, seller or time of purchase
• The product page does not establish that the mat prevents all injuries or hazards

Buyer fit

This mat is best suited to parents who want a wide, portable surface for supervised crawling, tummy time or floor play and can accept modest cushioning. Check the available floor space and the current seller details before ordering. If you specifically need thick impact protection, a thicker mat may be a better fit even if it costs more.

Final verdict

At ₹880, the Tarkan mat is worth considering for its large footprint, reversible design and easy-storage format. Treat the 71% discount as an advertised claim rather than a confirmed saving, and do not buy solely because of the stated MRP. It is a practical option for supervised everyday play, but buyers wanting substantial cushioning should compare thickness before checkout.
