Product overview

This is an above-counter ceramic vessel basin from Plantex, designed to sit on top of a vanity or counter rather than being inset. The brand describes a smooth, non-porous surface with a baked-on glaze intended to resist stains and scratches, and the marble finish is meant to give a premium look without the cost of real stone. Installation is positioned as straightforward because the above-counter design does not require replacing the entire vanity. Note that a tap/faucet is typically not included with basins of this type, so factor that into the total cost.

Reasons to consider

• ₹1,699 for a large-format ceramic vessel basin is a competitive price point in this category.
• Amazon fulfilment means standard Amazon delivery, returns and secure checkout apply.
• The 18 x 15 inch footprint suits mid-size bathrooms, guest washrooms and commercial spaces like hotels and restaurants.
• The glazed ceramic surface is advertised as low-maintenance — a damp-cloth wipe is generally enough for cleaning.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹1,699 selling price on the Amazon product page.
• Sold by the brand's own seller account (Plantex India) and shipped by Amazon.
• Glazed, non-porous ceramic is easy to clean and stain-resistant per the listing.
• Above-counter design simplifies installation on an existing countertop.

Cons

• Only 1 unit left in stock when checked, so it may sell out or the offer may lapse quickly.
• The 86% discount is calculated against an advertised MRP of ₹11,800, which appears inflated for this product type — treat the percentage with caution.
• Faucet, pop-up drain and plumbing fittings are generally extra.
• Ceramic vessel basins are heavy and can chip if mishandled during installation.

Buyer fit

This suits homeowners or renovators wanting a statement countertop basin on a tight budget, as well as small hotels, restaurants or office washrooms looking for an affordable designer-look basin. It is less suitable if you need an under-mount or wall-hung basin, need a complete kit with tap and drain included, or need multiple units immediately given the low stock.

Final verdict

At ₹1,699 this is a genuinely low price for an 18-inch ceramic vessel basin, and the price is confirmed on the Amazon product page itself. Just don't buy it for the "86% off" headline — the ₹11,800 MRP looks nominal. If you need a countertop basin soon, it's worth grabbing while stock lasts; check delivery feasibility and return terms for your pincode before ordering since ceramics can arrive damaged.
