Philips 10W Star Fit LED Downlighter Listed at ₹258 on Flipkart

At a glance

The Philips 10W Star Fit LED DL (CDL) ceiling light is advertised at ₹258 on Flipkart, against a listed MRP of ₹3,285 — a claimed 92% saving. The Flipkart product page is live and shows the same product line with an on-page price around ₹266 (and a "buy at ₹252" prompt after offers), though structured pricing could not be machine-verified, so the exact checkout price should be treated as advertised rather than confirmed.

Product overview

This is a Philips 10W LED downlighter (recessed ceiling light) in the Star Fit series, intended for home ceiling lighting. The Flipkart listing identifies it as a ceiling lamp in white, sold by SuperComNet with delivery quoted for mid-October to an unset location. Philips is a well-established lighting brand, and the Star Fit/AstraGlow range covers standard residential LED downlighters.

Reasons to consider

• The advertised price of ₹258 for a branded 10W Philips downlighter is low for this category; even the unconfirmed on-page figure of ₹266 is inexpensive.
• Similar Philips downlighters visible on the same page list considerably higher, suggesting this variant is discounted relative to the range.
• Standard buyer protections apply: 7-day returns, Cash on Delivery and Flipkart Assured are shown on the listing.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Very low advertised price for a Philips-branded LED downlighter
• Live merchant page with an identifiable product and seller
• Return window, COD and warranty shown on the listing

Cons

• Selling price is not machine-verified: the page shows conflicting figures (₹258 advertised vs ~₹266, or ₹252 after offers)
• The advertised 92-93% discount is off an MRP that may be inflated; real-world market price for this class of light is far below MRP
• Single-pack pricing and variant selection may change the final amount

Buyer fit

Worth a look if you are fitting out a room or replacing a recessed ceiling light and want a branded unit at a low outlay. Check the selected pack size and seller offers at checkout, since the page advertises extra savings only after applying offers.

Final verdict

A plausible budget buy on a known merchant. The product page exists and shows the Philips 10W Star Fit LED DL at roughly the advertised price, but the exact selling price could not be verified structurally, and the steep percentage-off figure leans on a likely inflated MRP. If you need a 10W downlighter, this is a reasonable purchase at around the advertised price — just confirm the live price and pack size on Flipkart before paying.
