Quick facts

Product overview

Vermicelli (seviyan) is a pantry staple used for kheer, upma, and quick sweet or savoury dishes. This listing is for a standard 500 gm retail pack under the NSC brand, sold through DigiHaat, a buyer app on the ONDC open commerce network. ONDC apps route orders to individual sellers, so delivery time and shipping charges depend on the specific seller node (here listed as NSC-New Delhi) rather than a central warehouse.

Reasons to consider

• ₹44 for 500 gm is a low absolute price for a branded grocery staple.
• A named coupon code (NSCVERMICELLI) suggests the discounted figure is meant to be reproducible at checkout rather than a flash error price.
• ONDC platforms sometimes price groceries aggressively to acquire users, so genuinely low single-item prices are plausible on DigiHaat.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Very low absolute price — a small-ticket item with minimal financial risk.
• Advertised ~51% discount off a ₹90 MRP.
• Useful everyday grocery item, not a niche product.

Cons

• The merchant product page is app-driven and did not return a machine-readable price, so ₹44 remains an advertised figure, not one we could confirm on DigiHaat itself.
• ONDC orders can carry seller-specific shipping fees that may eat the saving on a single ₹44 pack.
• NSC is a lesser-known brand versus household names like MTR or Savorit; quality is unverified.
• Coupon applicability and eligibility (new vs existing users, minimum cart value) are unknown.

Buyer fit

Worth a look if you already use ONDC buyer apps like DigiHaat and want cheap pantry staples, or if you can combine it with other items to offset any delivery fee. Skip if you'd rather buy from a mainstream grocer with clearer pricing and returns, or if vermicelli isn't something your household uses.

Final verdict

At ₹44 for 500 gm, this is cheap enough that the downside is a few rupees, not a real risk. But because we could not confirm the price on DigiHaat's own page — it loads only inside the app — treat ₹44 as advertised, not verified. Open the DigiHaat app, check the live price and delivery fee at checkout, and apply NSCVERMICELLI if prompted. If the total lands near ₹44, it's a reasonable buy; if shipping doubles it, the deal evaporates.
