Quick facts

Product overview

The Victus is HP's mainstream gaming line, sitting below the Omen range. This configuration pairs the i7-13650HX — a high-power 14-core HX-series chip — with a 6GB RTX 4050, which targets 1080p gaming rather than high-refresh 1440p. The 24GB DDR5 memory is an unusual but welcome capacity above the standard 16GB, and HP lists it as upgradeable. The 15.6-inch 144Hz, 300-nit panel is serviceable for esports titles, though 300 nits is modest for bright rooms. The listing also mentions Windows 11, Office 2024, a 2.29kg chassis in Mica Silver, and an Xbox Game Pass offer (terms apply).

Reasons to consider

• Strong CPU for the class: the i7-13650HX outperforms the H-series chips common at this price.
• 24GB DDR5 out of the box reduces the need for an immediate RAM upgrade.
• RTX 4050 with DLSS 3 frame generation handles modern titles at 1080p.
• Listed as in stock with fast delivery at the time of our check.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Capable HX-series processor and current-gen GPU pairing
• Above-average factory RAM configuration, upgradeable further
• 144Hz display suits competitive gaming

Cons

• 512GB SSD fills quickly with modern game installs
• 300-nit panel is average for colour and brightness
• Advertised price of ₹1,38,153 did not match the ₹1,42,990 shown on the product page
• 6GB VRAM on the RTX 4050 limits texture-heavy titles

Buyer fit

This suits buyers wanting a 1080p gaming laptop with a powerful CPU for work or study alongside gaming. It is less compelling if the effective price is ₹1,42,990 — at that level it competes with RTX 4060 machines, so the deal only makes sense near the advertised figure or below comparable listings.

Verification notes

The destination product page was reachable and confirms the product identity, in-stock status and a current selling price of ₹1,42,990 (product-bound pricing). The advertised price of ₹1,38,153 and 3% discount could not be confirmed on the page — no coupon or promotional price was observed. Prices on Amazon change frequently and may vary by seller, card offers or limited-time promotions.

Final verdict

A solid gaming laptop configuration, but verify the checkout price before buying. If you can get it near the advertised ₹1,38,153 — via a card offer, coupon or a price drop — it is reasonable value. At the currently listed ₹1,42,990, compare against RTX 4060 alternatives before committing.
