Quick facts

Product overview

The POCO M8 Power 5G is built around extreme battery endurance and high-capacity multimedia usage. Key specifications advertised for the device include a substantial 8,000 mAh battery capacity, paired with a large 6.99-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel. Under the hood, the device features an octa-core Snapdragon processor running up to 2.3 GHz, 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage expandable via a dedicated memory card slot. The phone also carries a 50 MP primary rear camera and an 8 MP selfie camera, housed in a Blaze Orange chassis.

Why consider it

The most notable selling point is battery longevity. An 8,000 mAh battery significantly exceeds standard smartphone capacities, making it suitable for multi-day light usage or heavy screen-on time without frequent charging. The large 6.99-inch AMOLED screen also provides an expansive display for video consumption and daily tasks. If you qualify for the listed Flipkart Axis or SBI Credit Card discount of ₹1,075, the effective price drops from ₹21,499 to ₹20,424, delivering a solid hardware-to-price ratio in the lower mid-range segment.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• Huge 8,000 mAh battery provides exceptional endurance between charges.
• Large 6.99-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen.
• Decent baseline storage with 128 GB and 6 GB RAM plus dedicated SD expansion.
• Bank card discount reduces price by an extra ₹1,075.

Cons:

• At 225 g, the device is noticeably heavier than standard phones due to the large battery.
• ₹20,424 net price is conditional upon specific bank credit card offers.
• Standard listed price before bank discount is ₹21,499 rather than a flat cut.

Who should buy it

This phone is best suited for power users, delivery professionals, commuters, and field workers who prioritize battery life above all else and dislike carrying portable power banks. Buyers looking for lightweight or slim devices should look elsewhere, as the 8,000 mAh pack adds notable heft. It is also an attractive choice for shoppers holding an eligible SBI or Flipkart Axis credit card to maximize instant checkout savings.

Final verdict

If extreme battery capacity is your primary buying criterion, the POCO M8 Power 5G at an advertised effective price of ₹20,424 is a compelling value. Buyers without eligible credit cards should weigh whether the standard ₹21,499 list price fits their budget before purchasing.
