At a glance

The EAST COAST LEGEND 24T, a 7-speed geared mountain-style bicycle for kids aged roughly 9 to 15, is listed on Flipkart at about ₹4,880 against a stated MRP of ₹13,949 — an advertised 65% discount. An extra bank-offer discount was advertised alongside the deal, but the specific bank, card type and cap were not disclosed, so treat that figure as a ceiling rather than a guaranteed saving.

Product overview

The LEGEND 24T is an entry-level geared mountain-style cycle from EAST COAST, sold through Flipkart. It uses a 24-inch wheel size and a 7-speed drivetrain, which suits children who have outgrown small single-speed bikes but are not ready for a full-size 26-inch adult frame. The listing page also surfaced sibling variants including a single-speed option and colour choices, with black selected on the page we read. A related LEADER Beast 26T men's geared cycle appeared in the same round-up at ₹4,999 with a bank-offer price of about ₹4,699, for shoppers open to other budget brands.

Reasons to consider

• Sub-₹5,000 is a genuinely low price for a geared cycle; comparable geared kids' bikes often retail meaningfully higher.
• The 65% advertised discount off the stated MRP is steep even by Flipkart sale standards.
• Seven gears give kids room to grow into hills and longer rides versus a single-speed bike.
• Cash on delivery, a 7-day replacement window and optional paid installation reduce the usual friction of buying a cycle online.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Very low entry price for a geared children's bicycle
• Advertised additional savings via bank offers on top of the listed price
• Large review base (~5,400 ratings) gives a reasonable sample of owner feedback

Cons

• Seller rating of 3.5 is middling — check recent reviews and the replacement policy carefully
• Product rating of 3.9 is average, not outstanding; budget cycles often need assembly tuning
• Bank-offer details (which bank, which cards, maximum benefit) were not visible, so the lowest price may not apply to everyone
• "Authorised installation" is an add-on, not included in the headline price

Buyer fit

This suits parents looking for a first geared cycle for a child in the 9–15 age band who prioritise price over brand prestige. Riders who need a 26-inch frame, hydraulic brakes or a lighter alloy build should look higher up the range. If you can use the applicable bank offer, the effective price becomes especially aggressive.

Final verdict

Worth considering if you need a budget geared cycle for a kid this size. The listed ₹4,880 price is well below the stated MRP and the bank-offer price could bring it closer to ₹4,636 — but that lowest figure depends on a bank discount whose terms were not disclosed, so check the offer eligibility at checkout before assuming you will get it. Verification note: the merchant page displayed these prices, but they could not be confirmed via structured product pricing, so treat the numbers as the listing's advertised figures.
