Product overview

Dishwasher salt is a consumable used in dishwashers with built-in water softeners. It regenerates the softening unit so hard water does not leave limescale deposits on dishes, glasses and internal machine parts. This 1 kg pack from Finish is a standard consumable rather than a one-off purchase — households running a dishwasher regularly will go through it over months.

Reasons to consider

• At ₹213 the pack is priced well below its advertised ₹599 original price, a meaningful saving if that reference price holds.
• The 4.7-star rating across 649 ratings suggests consistent buyer satisfaction.
• It is in stock with Amazon fulfilment, so delivery should be quick on eligible orders.
• Finish is the mainstream dishwasher-care brand, so compatibility with dishwashers that take regeneration salt is rarely an issue.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Large advertised discount versus the original price
• Strong rating (4.7/5, 649 ratings) and Amazon's Choice badge
• In stock and shipped by Amazon
• Sold by an identifiable seller (Global Brands ltd)

Cons

• The ₹599 reference price was not independently confirmed on the product page, so the true discount may be smaller
• Useful only if you own a dishwasher with a salt reservoir
• Price can change during sale periods; check the listing at checkout

Buyer fit

This suits dishwasher owners — especially in hard-water areas — who need to top up regeneration salt. If you do not run a dishwasher with a water-softening unit, this product serves no purpose regardless of discount.

Final verdict

At ₹213 for 1 kg with a verified in-stock Amazon listing and a 4.7-star rating, this is a reasonable buy if you need dishwasher salt. Treat the advertised ~64% saving as indicative rather than confirmed, since the original ₹599 price could not be matched against live MRP data on the page.
