Product overview

The Atom 4X is Egate's compact projector built around a native 1080p LTPS LCD panel with a 6000:1 contrast ratio and support for screens up to a claimed 300 inches. The listing highlights an auto-keystone system (with 4P and 6D electronic correction), a rotatable "FlexAngle" body for projecting at odd angles, and a lamp rated for 60,000 hours. On the smart side it runs Android 12 on a HiSilicon V252 quad-core chip with 1GB RAM / 8GB storage, dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and bi-directional Bluetooth 5.4, plus HDMI ARC and USB connectivity. A pre-installed MovieARK app offers free live TV channels without a subscription.

Reasons to consider

• ₹8,990 is confirmed on the Amazon buy box with the item in stock.
• Native 1080p resolution is a genuine step up over the many 720p-native budget projectors in this price band.
• Built-in Android 12, Wi-Fi 6 and live TV mean no external streaming stick is strictly required.
• Auto keystone and corner correction simplify setup for casual users.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹8,990 selling price and in-stock availability on Amazon.in
• Native Full HD panel with HDR/HLG support
• Smart TV features built in (Android 12, Netflix/Prime/YouTube, live TV app)
• Flexible placement with auto keystone and rotatable design

Cons

• The advertised 70% discount rests on a ₹30,000 MRP that the merchant page does not display; treat the headline saving with scepticism.
• 400 ISO lumens is modest — this needs a dark room for a good picture.
• Marketing language ("NASA grade" glass, "4X brighter") is promotional and unverifiable.
• 1GB RAM may make the Android experience sluggish with heavier apps.

Buyer fit

This suits budget buyers wanting a plug-and-play projector for occasional movie nights in a dark room — bedroom cinema, kids' rooms, casual sports viewing. It is not a fit for daytime use, bright living rooms, or buyers expecting true 4K output; the panel is 1080p and only accepts 4K input.

Final verdict

At a confirmed ₹8,990, the Atom 4X is a reasonable buy if you want a native-1080p smart projector for dark-room viewing — just ignore the inflated 70%-off framing and judge it against rivals in the sub-₹10,000 bracket instead. If you need daytime brightness or serious gaming performance, look elsewhere.
