Product overview

The Latitude 3540 sits in Dell's entry-level business range. The Core i3-1215U is a power-efficient chip suited to office work, browsing, video calls and light multitasking rather than heavy creative workloads. The 512 GB SSD is generous for this price band, while 8 GB of RAM is adequate for everyday productivity but may feel tight if you keep many browser tabs and apps open. Windows 11 Pro adds business features such as BitLocker and domain join, and the included MS Office 2021 licence adds real value versus machines that ship with only a trial. One thing to note: the 15.6-inch panel is listed as HD resolution, which is modest for a screen this size.

Reasons to consider

• Windows 11 Pro plus a perpetual MS Office 2021 licence bundled at this price is uncommon.
• 512 GB SSD storage is a step up from the 256 GB often seen near this budget.
• At 1.8 kg it stays reasonably portable for a 15.6-inch machine.
• Business-grade Latitude line typically offers better keyboards and service options than consumer models.
• Amazon listing shows the item in stock, with the laptop fulfilled by Amazon.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹50,990 selling price on the Amazon product page
• Windows 11 Pro and MS Office 2021 included
• Large 512 GB SSD
• Light for its screen size at 1.8 kg

Cons

• HD (not Full HD) display resolution is underwhelming on a 15.6-inch screen
• 8 GB RAM is the bare minimum for comfortable multitasking
• Core i3 is entry-level; not suited to demanding workloads
• No advertised discount or coupon, so the value rests on the spec bundle

Buyer fit

This suits students, office workers and small-business buyers who want a ready-to-use Windows Pro machine with Office included and lots of storage, for documents, calls, spreadsheets and browsing. Skip it if you want a sharper Full HD screen, more than 8 GB of RAM out of the box, or performance for editing and gaming.

Final verdict

At a verified ₹50,990, the Latitude 3540's appeal is the software bundle and SSD capacity rather than raw performance. If a Windows 11 Pro laptop with Office 2021 and 512 GB storage fits your needs, this is a reasonable buy; if you can stretch the budget, a Full HD, 16 GB alternative will age better.
