Dell 15 AI Laptop (Core Ultra 5, 16GB/512GB) at ₹72,990 on Amazon — advertised ₹58,490 effective with SBI card offer

At a glance

Amazon is selling the Dell 15 AI laptop — Intel Core Ultra 5 225U, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 15.6-inch FHD display — at a confirmed selling price of ₹72,990, currently in stock. An advertised SBI card discount of "up to ₹14,500" would drop the effective cost to roughly ₹58,490, but that bank offer could not be verified on the product page we checked, so treat it as conditional until you see it at checkout.

Product overview

This is Dell's mainstream 15-inch AI-branded laptop built around Intel's Core Ultra 5 225U, a modern efficient chip with an on-board NPU rated at 24 TOPS for Windows Copilot+ style features. The configuration pairs 16GB of RAM with a 512GB SSD — a sensible mainstream spec for office work, study, browsing and light creative tasks. The listing also includes a backlit keyboard, a dedicated Copilot hotkey, and Windows 11 plus MS Office 2024 bundled, which adds real value for buyers who would otherwise purchase Office separately. At 1.66kg it is reasonably portable for a 15.6-inch machine, though the FHD 300-nits panel is a standard rather than premium display.

Reasons to consider

• Current-generation Intel Core Ultra silicon with NPU acceleration for AI features in Windows 11.
• 16GB/512GB is a balanced spec at this price band; many rivals at similar prices still ship 8GB/512GB.
• MS Office 2024 included in the box saves a separate licence purchase.
• If the SBI card offer applies to your transaction, an effective ~₹58,490 is strong value for this configuration — a meaningful saving against the ₹72,990 confirmed price.
• Amazon fulfilled and listed as in stock with fast delivery options at the time of checking.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Modern Core Ultra 5 processor with NPU
• 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD out of the box
• Office 2024 and Windows 11 included
• Backlit keyboard, light-for-size 1.66kg build

Cons

• Confirmed price is ₹72,990; the eye-catching ₹58,490 figure depends on an SBI card offer we could not verify
• Bank discounts typically have eligibility rules, caps and EMI/transaction conditions
• 300-nits FHD panel is serviceable, not standout
• Extended warranty is a paid add-on (₹10,199), not included

Buyer fit

Best suited to students, home users and office workers who want a current-generation, AI-ready 15-inch laptop without stepping up to premium ultrabook pricing. It is especially attractive if you hold an SBI credit or debit card and can confirm the discount applies at checkout. Gamers and heavy video editors should look for machines with dedicated GPUs instead — this is an integrated-graphics productivity laptop.

Final verdict

Worth considering if you need a mainstream laptop now. At the verified ₹72,990 the price is fair rather than spectacular for a Core Ultra 5 / 16GB / 512GB machine with Office 2024 included. If your SBI card genuinely triggers the advertised ₹14,500 discount and brings the effective price near ₹58,490, it becomes a genuinely strong buy — but check the offer details on the product page or at checkout before counting on it.
