Product overview

The Exbolt 68 is part of Yonex's Exbolt string family, a thin-gauge badminton string aimed at players who want a sharper hitting feel and quicker repulsion than thicker, more durability-focused strings. The '68' refers to its 0.68 mm gauge class. This listing is for a single string set in the Flash Red colourway.

A 0.68 mm gauge sits on the thinner side of the spectrum. Thinner strings generally deliver better repulsion and a crisper sound on contact, at the cost of durability — they tend to break sooner than thicker options. That trade-off is the core decision a buyer is making here.

Reasons to consider

• The ₹910 price is about 25% below the ₹1,210 MRP, a meaningful saving on a consumable that regular players replace often.
• The listing ships from Amazon, which typically means more reliable delivery and easier returns than marketplace-fulfilled orders.
• The advertised price (₹908) and the merchant's current price (₹910) are nearly identical — the deal as described is real, with only a ₹2 drift.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified selling price on the merchant page, matching the advertised claim within ₹2
• 25% discount versus MRP
• In stock with Amazon fulfilment

Cons

• Thin 0.68 mm gauge wears out faster than thicker strings, so frequent string-breakers may spend more over time
• The 3.6-star rating from 70 reviews is middling — worth reading reviews before assuming it suits your game
• Third-party seller (Prokick Sports); the Amazon listing notes some purchase enhancements aren't available for this seller

Buyer fit

This suits badminton players who restring regularly and prefer a repulsion-oriented thin gauge, and who were already planning to buy Exbolt 68 or a comparable string. It is a poor fit for casual players who break strings rarely and would rather have the durability of a thicker gauge, or for anyone whose playing style demands maximum string life over feel.

Final verdict

If you play often enough to restring and want the Exbolt 68's thin-gauge feel, ₹910 is a fair, verified price — roughly 25% under MRP. The advertised ₹908 is effectively still available via other sellers on the same listing. If durability matters more than repulsion to you, a thicker gauge is the better buy regardless of the discount.
