Product overview

Surf Excel Matic is Hindustan Unilever's liquid detergent formulated for washing machines — this variant is meant for front-loaders, which need low-sudsing detergent. The listing highlights tough stain removal in the first wash, colour protection and a fragrance finish, and notes the detergent is trusted by machine makers such as Bosch, Whirlpool, Lloyd and Voltas. Liquid detergent dissolves faster than powder, leaves less residue in the machine and works well for pre-treating stains directly.

Reasons to consider

• ₹799 for 6 kg is roughly ₹133 per litre — competitive for a branded machine-specific liquid detergent.
• Subscribe & Save trims the price further to ₹759.05, or ₹719.10 if you qualify for the 10% tier by combining three or more subscriptions in a month.
• Ships from Amazon with free delivery shown, and the listing was in stock when checked.
• Front-load machines genuinely benefit from a low-foam formula; using regular detergent can cause excess suds.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Confirmed ₹799 selling price on the product page
• Works out to about ₹133 per litre for a leading brand
• Additional savings available via Subscribe & Save
• Fulfilled by Amazon with fast, free delivery displayed

Cons

• The advertised 36% off figure could not be verified — no MRP is shown on the page
• Sold by a third-party seller (RK World Infocom Pvt Ltd), though fulfilled by Amazon
• 6 kg is a large quantity; only worthwhile if you do laundry regularly
• Front-load only — not the right formula for top-load machines

Buyer fit

This suits households with a front-load washing machine that get through detergent steadily and want a mainstream, machine-safe liquid at a fair per-litre price. If you have a top-loader, look for the Surf Excel Matic top-load variant instead. Price-sensitive buyers who already use Amazon Subscribe & Save can squeeze out a few more percentage points.

Final verdict

The ₹799 price for 6 kg of Surf Excel Matic front-load liquid is verified on the Amazon.in product page and is a reasonable per-litre rate for this brand. Treat the claimed 36% discount as unverified since no MRP is displayed, but the selling price itself is solid. Worth buying if you need detergent now; the Subscribe & Save route is the better deal for repeat purchases.
