Quick facts

Product overview

Presto! is Amazon's own household-essentials brand, and this is its Active Wash detergent powder in a 4 kg bag. The listing describes it as suitable for both machine and hand washing, colour-safe, and formulated to be tough on stains while staying gentle on fabrics. At the observed price of ₹185, the effective unit cost works out to roughly ₹46.25 per kg — firmly in budget-detergent territory and noticeably below typical branded powders of similar pack size.

The page also shows a Subscribe & Save option at ₹175.75 (about ₹43.94 per kg), with text indicating savings of up to 10% on repeat deliveries when three or more products arrive in one month. That's worth knowing if this is a regular purchase.

Reasons to consider

• The ₹185 selling price for 4 kg is confirmed directly on the Amazon buy box, not just an advertised number.
• Free delivery with a stated 14–19 October window, and the item is fulfilled by Amazon, which generally means smoother delivery and returns.
• Subscribe & Save trims the price further for repeat buyers.
• At ~₹46.25/kg, undercutting most mainstream detergent brands makes it a low-risk try if you're open to a store brand.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹185 price on the merchant page, in stock at observation time
• Very low per-kg cost for a 4 kg pack
• Amazon fulfilment and free delivery window shown on the page
• Optional Subscribe & Save discount

Cons

• The advertised 54% off could not be checked against a listed MRP — the observed page data shows no reference price, so the true saving versus a regular price is unconfirmed
• Sold by a third-party seller (RK World Infocom Pvt Ltd), though fulfilled by Amazon
• No hands-on testing evidence here; cleaning performance claims are the brand's own
• Price and delivery estimates can vary by pincode and may change

Buyer fit

This suits value-focused households that go through detergent quickly and don't mind a private-label product. If you already use Presto! or buy Amazon-brand staples, this is an easy restock. If you're particular about detergent performance on heavy stains or sensitive skin, the low price makes a single 4 kg trial reasonable, but there's no independent testing evidence to rely on.

Final verdict

The core claim checks out: Amazon's page confirms ₹185 for the 4 kg Presto! Active Wash powder, in stock with free delivery. The 54%-off framing is unverified against an MRP, but even at face value ₹46.25 per kg is a strong price for detergent. If you need detergent anyway, this is worth picking up — and Subscribe & Save makes it slightly cheaper if it's a recurring buy.
