Product overview

The PHILIPS TAS1400BK is a compact portable Bluetooth speaker in the budget segment. Philips lists a 12W sound output, a passive radiator for bass, RGB light modes, and a 1200mAh rechargeable battery with a claimed 10 hours of playtime. Beyond Bluetooth, it supports TF card and USB playback, which is useful if you want music without a paired phone.

Reasons to consider

• At ₹1,099, this sits near the bottom of the price range for a branded 12W speaker — earlier listings of the same model were priced between ₹1,189 and ₹1,249, so the current price is the lowest we have seen for this unit.
• The spec list covers the practical bases: passive radiator for bass, RGB lighting, and three playback modes including offline TF/USB support.
• The ₹1,099 selling price was confirmed directly on the product page, so the deal amount itself is reliable.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Confirmed ₹1,099 selling price, lower than recent prices for the same model
• 12W output and passive radiator are reasonable for this price bracket
• TF and USB playback modes add flexibility beyond Bluetooth
• In stock with free delivery shown

Cons

• The advertised 58% off cannot be checked — the page does not display the MRP it is based on
• 10-hour playtime is a claimed figure, not independently verified
• 1200mAh is modest; real battery life at higher volumes will likely be shorter
• No water-resistance rating is mentioned, so outdoor use around water is a risk

Buyer fit

This suits buyers wanting a cheap, branded portable speaker for a desk, kitchen, or small room, especially if offline playback via TF card or USB matters. Buyers needing loud output for larger spaces, rugged or water-resistant builds, or all-day battery life should look higher up the range.

Final verdict

Worth considering if you need a budget Bluetooth speaker now. The ₹1,099 price is confirmed and is the lowest we have tracked for this model, so the value is real even though the advertised 58% discount cannot be verified against a displayed MRP. Judge it on the absolute price — ₹1,099 for a 12W Philips speaker — rather than the headline percentage.
