Product overview

The TAS1400BK is a compact budget Bluetooth speaker from Philips Audio. According to the Amazon listing, it offers 12W output with a passive radiator aimed at stronger bass, a 1200mAh rechargeable battery rated at up to 10 hours of playtime, and RGB lighting modes. Beyond Bluetooth, it supports playback from TF cards and USB drives, which is useful if you want music without pairing a phone.

Reasons to consider

• At ₹1,249 it sits in the entry-level segment where a known audio brand is a plus over generic alternatives.
• Multiple playback modes (BT, USB, TF) add flexibility for offline use.
• RGB lighting is a bonus for casual desk or room use at this price.
• Amazon's listing shows it in stock with fast delivery options and the marketplace's standard returns.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹1,249 selling price on Amazon.in
• 12W output with passive radiator is decent for the segment
• Claimed 10-hour battery life and multiple input modes

Cons

• No MRP shown on the page extract, so the true discount versus launch price is unclear
• 1200mAh battery is modest; real-world playtime at higher volumes may be lower
• No hands-on review evidence was available, so sound quality claims are unverified

Buyer fit

This suits shoppers wanting a cheap, branded Bluetooth speaker for casual listening, a bedside or kitchen speaker, or a gift. It is not aimed at buyers wanting loud party sound, waterproofing credentials, or audiophile-grade output — those buyers should look higher up the range.

Final verdict

At ₹1,249 with the price confirmed directly on the Amazon product page, this is a reasonable buy if you need a basic branded Bluetooth speaker now. If you already own a similar speaker, there is no compelling reason to switch — treat it as a good price on a modest product rather than a must-grab steal.
