Quick facts

Product overview

This is a 36-piece opalware dinner set from Larah by Borosil's Firefly Fluted series, designed to serve a family of eight. Opalware is a dense, chip-resistant glass material commonly used for everyday dinnerware, and Borosil markets this range as microwave- and dishwasher-safe, plus bone-ash free — a point some buyers specifically look for in glass dinnerware. The set includes an assortment of plates and bowls suitable for daily dining or gifting, and is sold and fulfilled through Amazon with RetailEZ Pvt Ltd listed as the seller of record.

Reasons to consider

The headline price of ₹1,518.59 against a listed MRP of ₹5,282 is a steep cut, and Amazon's own product page shows this as the current selling price rather than just a navigation or strikethrough number — so the discount is grounded in matched pricing evidence, not just the advertised claim. A large 36-piece count from a known brand like Borosil at this price point is competitive for opalware dinnerware sets of this scale. The dishwasher- and microwave-safe claims add everyday convenience if accurate to the buyer's use case.

Pros and cons

Pros: Large 36-piece set suited to bigger households or gifting; price and discount verified directly on the product page; reputable brand (Borosil) with microwave/dishwasher-safe claims; fast delivery options shown as available.

Cons: Only two visible ratings on the listing, so real-world durability feedback is thin; opalware can still chip or crack with rough handling despite marketing claims; price, stock and delivery windows on Amazon can change quickly, so the exact ₹1,518.59 figure should be reconfirmed at checkout.

Buyer fit

This suits households wanting a complete dinnerware set in one purchase, or shoppers looking for a gifting option with broad everyday appeal. It's less suited to buyers wanting to test a brand with a single plate or bowl first, given the limited review count, or buyers needing guaranteed long-term durability data that isn't yet established for this specific set.

Final verdict

With Amazon's own buy-box data matching the advertised ₹1,518.59 price against a ₹5,282 MRP, this looks like a genuinely well-priced 36-piece dinner set from an established brand. The main open question is real-world durability and finish quality, since the listing carries very few reviews so far — buyers who want a large opalware set at a steep discount should find this a reasonable pick, while those wanting more social proof may want to wait or buy a smaller set first to test quality.
