Product overview

The FRONTECH FT-1672 is an entry-level wired keyboard aimed at everyday typing, home, and basic office use. It uses membrane keys, connects via USB plug-and-play with no drivers needed, and includes retractable stands for adjusting typing angle. Amazon lists it with a 1-year manufacturer warranty and the listing shows 3.9 stars across 237 ratings, suggesting a reasonably established product with a track record, though not a premium one.

Reasons to consider

At ₹249, this sits firmly in impulse-buy territory for anyone needing a spare or replacement wired keyboard — for a secondary PC, an office desk, or as a backup. Plug-and-play USB means no setup friction, and the retractable stands offer basic ergonomic adjustment that some ultra-budget keyboards skip entirely. The 1-year warranty is a modest reassurance at this price point.

Pros and cons

Pros: Low entry price confirmed on the product page; plug-and-play simplicity; adjustable stands; decent rating volume (237 reviews) for feedback signal; 1-year warranty included. Cons: Membrane keyboards of this tier typically have shorter key life and mushier feel than mechanical options; no backlighting or extra multimedia keys mentioned; wired-only, so no wireless flexibility; an earlier listing for the same ASIN was seen at ₹269 on a previous date, so pricing on this product can move.

Buyer fit

This suits students, home users, or offices needing a no-frills replacement keyboard rather than enthusiasts or gamers wanting tactile or mechanical switches. If you just need something that works out of the box without spending much, it fits. If you care about typing feel, backlighting, or durability for heavy daily use, consider stepping up to a pricier option.

Final verdict

The ₹249 price is confirmed directly against Amazon's own buy-box data for this ASIN, so this is a verified, real offer at the time of research — not just an advertised claim. For a basic wired keyboard need, it's a sensible, low-risk pick, though buyers should check the live price at checkout since Amazon pricing can fluctuate day to day, as seen with this same product's earlier ₹269 listing.
