Amazon: EMBOX 4-Socket Extension Board with Individual Switches (2500 W) at ₹449

Two related variants were also advertised — a 5 m cable version at ₹373 and a USB Type-C 2.4 A version at ₹799 — but only the 4-socket model's price could be confirmed.

Product overview

This is a budget power strip aimed at Indian households: a 2500 W-rated board with four universal sockets, each with its own switch, plus child-safety shutters, a spike guard and an LED power indicator. The 2500 W ceiling means it suits TVs, chargers, routers, laptops, fans and similar loads; heavy appliances such as heaters, irons, kettles or air conditioners should not be run on it, especially simultaneously. A separate 5 m cable variant and a USB Type-C (2.4 A) variant are sold under the same EMBOX line at advertised prices of ₹373 and ₹799 respectively, though those prices were not verified on their own product pages.

Reasons to consider

• ₹449 is a low price for a 4-socket board with per-socket switches and safety shutters.
• Individual switches let you cut power to unused sockets rather than unplugging devices.
• The listing is Amazon-fulfilled, which generally means faster delivery and easier returns.
• An optional Onsitego 1-year extended warranty is offered at checkout from ₹71 for buyers who want extra cover.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Four universal sockets with individual switches
• Safety shutters and spike protection
• LED power indicator
• Verified ₹449 selling price, in stock

Cons

• The advertised 65% discount is unverifiable — no MRP is displayed
• EMBOX is a value brand, so long-term durability is an open question
• 2500 W total capacity rules out high-draw appliances
• Advertised prices for the 5 m and USB-C variants could not be confirmed

Buyer fit

Worth considering if you need an inexpensive strip for a desk, TV unit or bedside setup with light-to-moderate loads. Buyers wanting surge protection rated for expensive electronics, or a board for kitchen/heating appliances, should look at higher-spec options. If the longer cable or USB-C versions interest you, check their live prices on the product pages rather than relying on the advertised ₹373 and ₹799 figures.

Final verdict

At a verified ₹449, this is a reasonable buy for everyday low-power use — the per-socket switches and safety shutters are genuinely useful at this price. Treat the "up to 65% off" framing as marketing rather than a confirmed discount, since Amazon shows no MRP for comparison. If you need an extra board for electronics under 2500 W total, the price justifies it.
