Quick facts

Product overview

The boAt WCD is a compact 20W wall charger from boAt, one of India's largest accessories brands. The Amazon listing positions it as a fast-charging adapter for iPhones (12 through 16 series), Android phones and TWS earbuds, with built-in overheat and overcharge protection. At 20W it supports USB Power Delivery-class charging speeds — enough to take a recent iPhone from empty to roughly half in about 30 minutes with a suitable cable, which is typically sold separately.

The listing shows a 4.0-star average across roughly 2,933 ratings and mentions a 2-year warranty and secure transaction support.

Reasons to consider

• Price, if real: ₹399 is a fair going rate for a branded 20W charger, and genuinely cheap if the advertised discount holds.
• Brand and warranty: boAt is an established Indian accessories brand and the page carries a 2-year warranty note.
• Wide compatibility: covers recent iPhones, Android devices and earbuds, so it works as a spare or travel charger for most households.
• Safety features: overheat/overcharge protection is a meaningful inclusion at this price.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Advertised ₹399 is competitive for a branded 20W charger
• 20W output suits both iPhone and Android fast charging
• Listed with overheat and overcharge protection
• 4.0-star rating from a large review base

Cons

• Selling price was not confirmed on the merchant page — the ₹399 figure is advertised only
• The page showed a "Price higher than typical" notice, suggesting the current price may be worse than recent history
• The 80%-off claim implies a high reference MRP that could not be verified and is likely inflated
• Cable is typically not included; check the box contents on the listing

Buyer fit

This suits anyone needing a spare 20W charger for an iPhone or Android phone, or a travel adapter for earbuds and phones — provided the checkout price is actually at or below the advertised ₹399. If the listing price has moved higher, rival options visible on the same page (Portronics Adapto 20 at ₹299, Amazon Basics 25W at ₹299) may offer better value.

Final verdict

A reasonable buy if the ₹399 price is real at checkout, but that is a big "if" today: the merchant page did not confirm a selling price and flagged the item as priced higher than typical. Check the live price first; if it sits well above ₹400, comparable 20–25W chargers from Portronics or Amazon Basics undercut it. Worth buying only if you need it and the price checks out.
