Quick facts

Product overview

This is a compact, lightweight wall charger from Indian accessories brand boAt. It offers a single USB-A port with up to 12W output, Smart IC protection for connected devices, and a scratch-resistant body. The listing claims compatibility with iPhone 17/16/15/14 series (including Pro and Max), Samsung Galaxy phones, Google Pixel and other Android devices. Note that 12W over USB-A is modest by current standards — it will charge phones reliably but is not a fast-charge solution comparable to modern 20W+ USB-C Power Delivery adapters. A cable is not clearly included, so check the box contents on the listing before ordering.

Reasons to consider

• Very low price: at ₹159 it is among the cheapest branded wall adapters available.
• Spare or travel charger: small and light enough to keep in a bag or as a backup.
• Brand name: boAt is a widely sold Indian accessories brand, a step above unbranded adapters at this price.
• Price confirmed: the ₹159 selling price is verified on the Amazon product page itself.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Confirmed ₹159 price on Amazon — roughly 73% below the advertised ₹599 MRP
• Compact and lightweight with scratch-resistant finish
• Smart IC protection for connected devices
• Broad claimed device compatibility

Cons

• 12W USB-A output is slow for modern phones; not a true fast charger by 2026 standards
• USB-A port only — no USB-C, so newer USB-C-to-C cables won't fit
• The ₹599 MRP is an advertised reference; headline percentage savings on chargers are often larger than real-world savings
• Cable not clearly included

Buyer fit

This suits buyers who need a cheap spare charger, a basic adapter for an older phone or accessory, or a lightweight travel backup. It is less suitable if you want genuinely fast charging for a recent flagship phone — for that, a 20W+ USB-C PD adapter is a better buy, though at a higher price.

Final verdict

At ₹159, this boAt adapter is a solid value purchase if you need a simple USB-A wall charger. The price is verified on Amazon, and while 12W is slow by modern standards, it is hard to beat at this price for a branded unit. Worth buying if you need it — just don't expect flagship-level charging speeds.
