Product overview

The Radeon RX 580 is AMD's Polaris-era GPU, and the 2048SP variant pairs 8GB of GDDR5 memory on a 256-bit bus with PCIe 3.0 x16. It supports DirectX 12 and outputs over HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort, with multi-monitor support. In 2026 it is firmly a budget, older-generation card: it can still handle 1080p gaming at medium-to-high settings in many titles and is a popular low-cost upgrade for older desktops, but it lacks modern features such as hardware ray tracing, AV1 encode/decode, and the power efficiency of newer GPUs.

Reasons to consider

• 8GB of VRAM at this price point is still useful for 1080p gaming and older AAA titles.
• Amazon fulfilment with a named seller (Clicktech Retail Private Ltd) means standard Amazon delivery and returns handling.
• If the SBI credit card discount applies to your account, the effective ~₹15,174 price makes it one of the cheaper new 8GB cards available.

Pros and cons

Pros

• 8GB GDDR5 memory and a 256-bit bus remain adequate for 1080p gaming.
• HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort outputs cover older and newer monitors.
• In stock and shipped by Amazon.

Cons

• The RX 580 is an old architecture — higher power draw and heat than modern cards, and no ray tracing or modern codec support.
• The headline ₹15,174 figure depends on an SBI credit card offer whose eligibility terms we could not confirm.
• At ₹16,859 without the card discount, it competes awkwardly with newer entry-level GPUs.

Buyer fit

This suits budget builders upgrading an older PC for 1080p gaming who want a new card with warranty rather than a used GPU, especially if they hold an SBI credit card that qualifies for the advertised discount. Buyers wanting modern efficiency, ray tracing, or driver longevity should look at newer options instead. Check that your power supply meets the card's requirements — RX 580 boards typically need a beefy PSU.

Final verdict

The ₹16,859 listed price is confirmed on Amazon, but it is only average value for a new RX 580 in 2026. The deal becomes genuinely interesting only if the advertised flat ₹1,685 SBI credit card discount applies to you — check the offer details on the payment page before buying, since bank discounts often have eligibility and maximum-benefit conditions.
