Quick facts

Product overview

This is a six-piece serving bowl set from Bataniya, a home-and-kitchen brand sold on Amazon India. The bowls are made from melamine — a lightweight, shatter-resistant material commonly used for everyday serving ware — and the listing highlights a triple-coated finish pitched as a mix of elegance and durability. The set is marketed as crockery suitable for serving snacks, curries, desserts and the like, though the listing's own wording does more styling than spec-sheet detail, so capacity and dimensions should be checked on the product page before buying.

The price observation comes directly from the Amazon.in product page, which showed ₹355 as the live selling price with "64 percent savings" against a stated MRP of ₹999, matching the advertised figure.

Reasons to consider

• Genuinely low absolute price. At ₹355 for six bowls, you are paying ₹59.17 a piece — inexpensive even by budget melamine standards.
• Verified price. The ₹355 tag and the ₹999 MRP were both observed on the merchant page, so the headline discount is not just an advertised claim.
• Fulfilled by Amazon. Fulfilment by Amazon with free delivery shown keeps shipping cost from eating the savings, and simplifies returns if the set arrives damaged.
• Practical material. Melamine is light, chip-resistant and family-friendly compared with ceramic or glass, which suits daily use.

Pros and cons

Pros

• 64% below the listed MRP; per-bowl cost of ₹59.17
• In stock with Amazon fulfilment and free delivery observed
• Triple-coated melamine should resist scratches better than plain prints

Cons

• MRP-based discounts on marketplace crockery are often inflated; the true street price of this set may sit closer to the offer price
• Melamine is not microwave-safe in most cases — treat it as serving ware, not reheating ware
• Limited specification detail (bowl capacity, dimensions) visible in the observed page text
• "Festive Offer" tagging suggests the price may be time-limited

Buyer fit

This set fits shoppers who want cheap, presentable serving bowls for everyday meals, guests or festive entertaining without worrying about breakage — households with kids, hostels, or anyone stocking a kitchen on a budget. If you want microwave- or oven-safe bowls, melamine is the wrong material entirely, and you should look at borosilicate glass or ceramic instead. Buyers who care about exact bowl size should confirm capacity on the product page first, since the listing's copy is vague.

Final verdict

At ₹355 verified on Amazon.in — 64% under the stated ₹999 MRP and ₹59.17 per bowl — this is a good buy if you need a budget melamine serving set. Treat the MRP discount as a marketing anchor rather than proof of a once-only bargain, remember melamine is not for microwaving, and the offer is labelled a limited-period festive deal, so don't assume the price will hold.
