Product overview

Thick bar grips are silicone or rubber sleeves that slide over a standard dumbbell or barbell handle to roughly double its effective diameter. A thicker grip forces your forearms and hand muscles to work harder, which is why lifters use them for grip-strength training and forearm development. This Amazon Basics pair is the medium variant in blue, aimed at standard-sized bars rather than specialty fat bars. At ₹249, this sits firmly in impulse-purchase territory for gym accessories.

Reasons to consider

• The ₹249 price is confirmed live on Amazon's product page, not just an advertised figure.
• Amazon fulfilment means standard delivery speeds and Amazon's returns process apply.
• Thick grips are a cheap way to add grip-strength work to existing dumbbells and barbells without buying new equipment.
• The listing is part of Amazon's Great Indian Festival pricing, which typically means the current price is time-limited.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹249 selling price on the merchant page
• In stock with free delivery shown
• Low-cost accessory for home or gym training

Cons

• Only a 3.9-star rating from roughly 40 reviews, so feedback is mixed
• The 86% figure is measured against a reference MRP that is not itemised on the page, so treat the discount percentage as approximate
• Medium size may not fit thicker specialty bars

Buyer fit

This suits home-gym users and lifters who want to try thick-grip training without spending much, and anyone building out a basic dumbbell or barbell setup. If you need heavy-duty or competition-grade grips, or want a colour/size other than medium blue, look at alternatives first.

Final verdict

A worthwhile pickup at ₹249 if you already own dumbbells or a barbell and want to add grip work. The price is verified on Amazon's page and the item is in stock, so the main decision is whether you need the accessory rather than whether the deal is real. Given the mixed rating, check recent reviews on the page before ordering.
