Amazon Basics 7 Litre Kitchen Dustbin (Hanging, Wall-Mounted) at ₹410 on Amazon.in

At a glance

Amazon.in lists the Amazon Basics 7 Litre Kitchen Dustbin — a white plastic trash can designed to hang on a cabinet door or mount on a wall — at ₹410, in stock with Amazon-fulfilled delivery. A deal alert advertised this as "66% off", but the product page does not display an explicit MRP, so that percentage cannot be confirmed. Treat ₹410 as the verified number.

Quick facts

Product overview

This is a compact 7-litre plastic dustbin from Amazon's own Basics line, built for kitchens where floor space is tight. Its hook lets it hang over a cabinet door — typically under the sink — and it can also be wall-mounted. The double-sided open design means you can sweep scraps straight off a counter into the bin, and the included lid helps contain odours. Seven litres is a small-to-medium capacity, suited to a day or two of kitchen waste for a small household rather than a family's weekly garbage.

Reasons to consider

• ₹410 is confirmed on the product page. Whatever the original price was, this is the live selling price, in stock.
• Space-saving format. Hanging bins keep the floor clear and sit within arm's reach of the counter, which is genuinely convenient for prep waste.
• Amazon-fulfilled. Ships from Amazon, which generally means predictable delivery and straightforward returns if it arrives damaged.
• Festive offer timing. The page showed a limited-period festive offer at the time checked, so the price could move.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Verified ₹410 price on Amazon.in, currently in stock
• Cabinet-door hanging design saves floor space
• Lid included — useful for odour control
• Sold via a fulfilled-by-Amazon listing

Cons

• The advertised 66% discount cannot be verified — no MRP is displayed on the page
• 7 litres is small; needs frequent emptying in a busy kitchen
• Plastic build at this price point is functional rather than premium
• Seller is a third party (ETrade Online), though fulfilment is by Amazon

Buyer fit

This suits anyone setting up a small kitchen, renting a place where floor space is limited, or wanting a dedicated scraps bin under the sink. It is less suitable for large households that generate enough waste to need a 15-litre-plus bin, or for buyers who want a hands-free pedal bin.

Final verdict

At ₹410, confirmed live on Amazon.in, this is a sensible buy if you specifically want a compact hanging kitchen bin — the price is fair for the format even without the advertised 66% off, which we could not verify. If you do not need the hanging design, a basic pedal bin in the same price range may serve you better. Check the page before ordering, since the festive offer was flagged as time-limited.
