Amazon: AS Scholar Drafting Table Stand Listed at ₹4,999 (Advertised ₹2,700 After Coupon)

At a glance

An adjustable drafting table stand — the AS Drawing & Drafting Table "Scholar" (without board) — is listed on Amazon.in at ₹4,999, down from a stated M.R.P. of ₹9,999. A deal alert advertised it at ₹2,700 (73% off), which does not match the price Amazon currently shows. The page does mention a ₹2,000 coupon, which would bring an effective cost near ₹2,999 if the coupon applies to your account — still above the advertised ₹2,700. Treat the lower figure as unconfirmed.

Product overview

This is a folding, height- and angle-adjustable drafting table stand aimed at architects, engineers, designers, artists, and students. The "Scholar" variant ships without a drawing board — you supply your own surface. The seller is AS INSTRUMENTS and the listing is fulfilled by Amazon, which generally means smoother delivery and returns.

Reasons to consider

• The ₹2,000 coupon, if it applies to your account, takes the effective price to roughly ₹2,999 — close to, though not equal to, the advertised ₹2,700.
• Adjustable height and tilt angles make it usable for drafting, sketching, or as an angled reading/laptop stand.
• Amazon's Choice badge and a perfect (if very small) 5.0-star rating are mild positive signals.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Half off the stated ₹9,999 M.R.P. even before any coupon
• Fulfilled by Amazon with free delivery shown
• Compact stand-only format if you already own a board

Cons

• Advertised ₹2,700 price could not be confirmed; the observed price is ₹4,999
• The ₹2,000 coupon is account/checkout dependent — your total may differ
• Only 3 ratings, so the 5.0 score is thin evidence
• No board included despite the "drafting table" name

Buyer fit

Best suited to students and hobbyists who need a cheap adjustable stand and already have a board or tabletop to mount. Professionals wanting a complete drafting desk should look at variants with the board included.

Final verdict

A reasonable deal only if the ₹2,000 coupon shows up at checkout for your account — that brings the real price near ₹2,999. If the coupon doesn't apply, ₹4,999 is far above the advertised ₹2,700 and you should compare alternatives first. Check the coupon box on the product page before paying.
