At a glance

Amazon India is currently listing the ARTO WiFi Biometric Smart Door Lock with built-in camera at ₹12,499, advertised as 55% off. The selling price is confirmed on the product page and the item shows as in stock; the headline discount percentage depends on the advertised reference price, which we could not independently confirm.

Quick facts

Product overview

This is a full-automatic digital door lock from ARTO that combines several entry methods in one unit: biometric fingerprint scanning, RFID card, numeric password, a companion app over WiFi, and a traditional mechanical key backup. A built-in camera adds a video/visitor element that cheaper keypad-only locks do not offer. It is positioned for front doors in homes as well as light commercial settings like offices and small hotels that want keyless entry without a full access-control system.

Reasons to consider

• Multiple unlock methods cover different household members and guests — fingerprints for residents, RFID cards or PINs for staff or visitors.
• WiFi app control means remote unlocking and monitoring are possible without a separate hub, based on the listing.
• The integrated camera adds door-side visibility that typically requires a separate video doorbell.
• At ₹12,499 it undercuts better-known smart lock brands in India, which often start noticeably higher for camera-equipped models.
• Mechanical key backup matters if batteries die or electronics fail.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Five unlock methods including fingerprint and app
• Built-in camera at this price point
• Keyless entry suited to homes, rentals and small offices
• Confirmed current selling price on Amazon India

Cons

• ARTO is a lesser-known brand; long-term reliability and after-sales support are less proven than established lock makers
• The advertised 55% off could not be verified against a reference price
• WiFi smart locks depend on batteries, app stability and firmware updates — check the listing for warranty and battery details
• Installation may need a carpenter or locksmith; confirm door compatibility before ordering

Buyer fit

This suits buyers who want a feature-rich keyless lock — fingerprint plus camera plus app — without paying premium-brand prices, and who are comfortable with a newer brand. It is a reasonable pick for a flat, rental property office or small hotel door where multiple access methods are genuinely useful. Buyers who prioritise long warranty coverage and established service networks may prefer spending more on a recognised smart-lock brand.

Final verdict

The ₹12,499 selling price is verified on Amazon India and is competitive for a camera-equipped WiFi biometric lock. Treat the 55% off figure as an advertised discount rather than a confirmed saving — even so, the absolute price is reasonable for the feature set. Worth considering if you need a multi-access smart lock now; just confirm door compatibility, warranty terms and seller ratings on the listing before checkout.
