Amazon: Artis AR-MINIDC-2 Mini UPS for WiFi Routers at ₹1,399

At a glance

The Artis AR-MINIDC-2 is a compact 8800mAh UPS designed to keep WiFi routers, modems and set-top boxes running during power cuts. A deal channel advertised it at ₹1,399 with a claimed 72% discount. Amazon's own product page confirms the ₹1,399 selling price is currently live, but the page does not display an MRP, so the 72% off figure quoted by the source could not be independently verified.

Product overview

The AR-MINIDC-2 is a small backup power unit built specifically for networking gear rather than full-size appliances. Its 8800mAh battery is meant to bridge short outages so your WiFi router, modem or set-top box stays online, with output options covering common 9V and 12V router voltages at 1A, 1.5A or 2A. A USB port lets you charge a phone off the same battery, and onboard indicators show remaining charge. It carries BIS certification, which is relevant for electrical safety compliance in India.

Reasons to consider

Home internet outages during power cuts are a common annoyance, and a dedicated router UPS is cheaper and smaller than a full UPS/inverter setup. At ₹1,399, confirmed as the live selling price on Amazon's listing, this sits in the budget bracket for such devices. The dual function — router backup plus phone charging — adds some practical value beyond a single-purpose battery pack.

Pros and cons

Pros: confirmed live price on the merchant page, compact and purpose-built for networking equipment, BIS certified, includes a phone-charging USB port.

Cons: the headline 72% discount could not be verified since no MRP appears on the product page, so treat the saving as advertised rather than confirmed. A second link in the original message, intended as a lower-priced variant or accessory at ₹199, pointed to an entirely different Amazon listing that returned a server error during verification, so that part of the message should be disregarded until confirmed separately.

Buyer fit

This suits anyone whose home WiFi router or set-top box regularly loses power during outages and wants a small, dedicated backup rather than a bulky UPS. It is not meant for heavier appliances or extended multi-hour backup needs — the 8800mAh capacity is sized for routers and modems only.

Final verdict

The ₹1,399 price for the Artis AR-MINIDC-2 is confirmed live on Amazon's own product page, making this an identifiable and currently purchasable deal. However, the claimed 72% discount is an advertised figure from the source and not something Amazon's listing substantiates, since no MRP is shown. Buyers who need a small router UPS at this price point get a verified price, but should not assume the discount percentage is accurate without checking price history themselves.
