Product overview

This AmazonBasics adapter bundle includes five individual DisplayPort to VGA video converters. Designed for multi-display setups, office IT deployments, or workshop environments, each adapter allows a modern computer with a standard DisplayPort video output to connect to an existing VGA cable and display monitor or projector.

Note that this is a unidirectional passive adapter designed strictly for DisplayPort source devices connecting to VGA displays. It does not work in reverse (VGA output PC to DisplayPort monitor).

Why consider it

• Bulk Value: Buying in a 5-pack reduces the per-unit cost down to ₹142.80, which is significantly cheaper than buying single DisplayPort adapters.
• Office & Lab Utility: Perfect for IT departments, schools, or multi-screen workstations using legacy VGA monitors.
• Plug and Play: Standard DisplayPort latching connector ensures a secure physical connection without extra software installation.

Pros and cons

Pros:

• Great per-unit value for a 5-piece bundle.
• Reliable basic video conversion for legacy monitors and projectors.
• Fulfilled by Amazon with active stock.

Cons:

• Unidirectional display signal (DisplayPort source to VGA display only).
• VGA signal is analog and limited to standard HD resolutions (typically up to 1080p).

Who should buy it

This deal is ideal for system integrators, IT administrators, small offices, or users who need multiple DisplayPort to VGA adapters for desktop setups. If you only require a single adapter or need HDMI/DVI conversion, a standalone connector may be a better fit.

Final verdict

At ₹714 for five units, the per-piece pricing of ₹142.80 offers high practical value if you have multiple workstations using legacy VGA monitors. Although the advertised 95% discount cannot be verified against an official MRP, the current selling price is verified live on Amazon.
