Amazon: Amazon Basics Velvet Quilted 1-Seater Sofa Cover (70x70cm, Navy Blue) at ₹112

At a glance

Amazon.in is listing the Amazon Basics Velvet Quilted 'Make Your Own' sofa cover — 1 seater size, 70cm x 70cm, navy blue — at ₹112.17, in stock, shipped by Amazon and sold by ETrade Online. The deal was advertised as "81% off" at ₹112; the selling price matches, though the merchant page did not expose an explicit MRP for us to verify that exact discount percentage.

Quick facts

Product overview

This is a quilted furniture protector from Amazon Basics designed for a single-seater sofa or armchair. The "Make Your Own" style means it is a loose, drapeable cover rather than a fitted upholstery replacement, so it can cover seat and back sections of a 70cm cushion area. The fabric is described as velvet-touch multi-layered material at 350 GSM, which suggests a reasonably padded feel rather than a thin sheet. Navy blue is a fairly forgiving colour for hiding everyday dust and pet hair.

At ₹112, this is essentially an impulse-buy price for a furniture protector — far below what fitted sofa covers usually cost.

Reasons to consider

• The merchant page confirms a selling price of ₹112.17, matching the advertised ₹112 claim.
• It is fulfilled by Amazon, so delivery and returns follow Amazon's standard fulfilment process.
• The page showed the item in stock with free delivery available for a Mumbai delivery location.
• At this price, even short-term protection for a rented flat, pet household or kids' room is cheap insurance.

Pros and cons

Pros

• Extremely low price for a quilted sofa cover
• Amazon Basics branding and Amazon fulfilment
• In stock and a verified product-level selling price

Cons

• Only covers a 1-seater / 70cm section — buying for a full sofa means multiple pieces
• The advertised "81% off" implies an MRP around ₹590, but the page did not show us an explicit MRP, so the exact discount is not independently confirmed
• It is listed under Amazon's Car & Motorbike category, which is odd for a home item and may affect how accurately it fits furniture expectations

Buyer fit

This suits buyers who want cheap, quick protection for a single armchair, one sofa cushion, or a pet's favourite seat — or who want to buy a few pieces to tile across a sofa. It is not a fitted stretch cover, so buyers wanting a snug, tailored look should look elsewhere.

Final verdict

At a verified ₹112.17 on Amazon.in, this is a legitimately low price for a quilted Amazon Basics sofa cover and worth grabbing if the size fits your need. The headline "81% off" rests on an unconfirmed MRP, but the rupee price itself checks out — so judge it on ₹112 for a 70x70cm cover, not on the percentage.
